I don’t see any information for parents, regarding the incoming seniors. I am curious about dates for Senior Portrait Submission(I’ve heard this comes pretty early in the year?) , Senior Grad Night Fund Raisers, when to order announcements, etc. Maybe a timeline of graduation deadlines through out the year for planning purposes? Thanks!

These dates are set by various groups (Senior Portraits by the Yearbook Staff, Grad Night by the PTA, etc), and information will be posted on the Tahoma HS Web Site when it becomes available. It will also be sent out to parents through our Bear Bytes emails – if you do not get these, please contact the main office at 425-413-6200.

Hi! My son has reported to Evergreen to play soccer, and his coach told him today they have not received his SAT score and official transcript from Tahoma. They will not let him play until received. Alex says he filled out the forms to have them sent. Help! What can I do? Thanks for any help!

Do you furnish a supply list for grades 10-12?

    • fjequinto
      August 9, 2016 at 2:10 pm

There is not a standard list. Students will need typical supplies like pencils / paper, and any class-specific supplies will be shown on the teachers’ websites at http://swift.tahoma.wednet.edu/ths

What are Bear Days? It’s in the notification but there’s no explanation and I can’t find anything on the website.

    • fjequinto
      August 10, 2016 at 8:22 am

Bear Days are like a registration day, where students have the opportunity to make purchases such as ASB cards and parking passes, as well as ensure their schedules are correct.

For Sophomores, Bear Days are preceded by an orientation, which will help students become acclimated to the high school.

Do you recommend a new junior to go to Bear day or are they transfer student?

    • fjequinto
      August 11, 2016 at 11:12 am

Bear Days are where students can review their schedules, and make purchases like ASB Cards, Yearbooks, and Parking Passes – so if your student wants to do any of those things they should go, otherwise they will need to wait until the first day.

What if a student buys a parking pass and then changes which car he drives daily after school starts?

My child is returning to Tahoma School District, after being absent for a couple of years. I can not find my login or password from prior school years. My old email has been deleted due to hacking, so I am unable to reset those settings for lost password reset. Who is best to contact to fix this problem so that I can see class schedules and pay for online purchases like ASB, parking passes..etc.
    Thanks!

    • fjequinto
      August 23, 2016 at 1:24 pm

Each teacher will provide specifics for their own course, but there is no specific uniform that is required – just appropriate clothing for athletics. (athletic shoes, no jeans, etc.)

Can I pay for PE clothes online when I pay the rest of the fees? I am not seeing that option…

    • fjequinto
      August 29, 2016 at 7:09 am

There is no mandatory PE uniform at the High School – just whatever clothing is appropriate for PE (e.g. no jeans, athletic shoes, etc). That means there are no uniforms available for purchase.

What is the fall 2016 date for SATs?

  18. TR
    September 6, 2016 at 7:31 pm

Could I get some clarification on the attendance policy as it was explained to seniors today at the assembly? My student will be missing days for college visits and as stated it sounds like students will be penalized whether an absence is excused or not. Thank you!

What time do the football games start? What time are the dances, start and end?

    • fjequinto
      September 17, 2016 at 7:58 pm

While most Varsity games will start at 7 PM, the full schedule can be found at http://www.tahomafootball.com/calendar.

Most after-game dances start once the football game ends, and finish at 11 PM. Most formal dances (like Homecoming, Prom, etc) will start around 8 PM and end around 11 PM, with more specific per-dance details being provided closer to each dance’s date.
