I don’t see any information for parents, regarding the incoming seniors. I am curious about dates for Senior Portrait Submission(I’ve heard this comes pretty early in the year?) , Senior Grad Night Fund Raisers, when to order announcements, etc. Maybe a timeline of graduation deadlines through out the year for planning purposes? Thanks!

    • fjequinto
      August 4, 2016 at 12:46 pm

These dates are set by various groups (Senior Portraits by the Yearbook Staff, Grad Night by the PTA, etc), and information will be posted on the Tahoma HS Web Site when it becomes available. It will also be sent out to parents through our Bear Bytes emails – if you do not get these, please contact the main office at 425-413-6200.

    • fjequinto

There is not a standard list. Students will need typical supplies like pencils / paper, and any class-specific supplies will be shown on the teachers’ websites at http://swift.tahoma.wednet.edu/ths

    • fjequinto
      August 10, 2016 at 8:22 am

Bear Days are like a registration day, where students have the opportunity to make purchases such as ASB cards and parking passes, as well as ensure their schedules are correct.

For Sophomores, Bear Days are preceded by an orientation, which will help students become acclimated to the high school.

Do you recommend a new junior to go to Bear day or are they transfer student?

    • fjequinto
      August 11, 2016 at 11:12 am

Bear Days are where students can review their schedules, and make purchases like ASB Cards, Yearbooks, and Parking Passes – so if your student wants to do any of those things they should go, otherwise they will need to wait until the first day.

My daughter is going to be out of town for Freshman orientation – is there a makeup day for those who can’t make the scheduled date?

    • fjequinto
      July 29, 2017 at 9:34 pm

“Bear Days” are designed to give students the opportunity to purchase parking passes, ASB cards, yearbooks, pictures and make sure their schedules are correct. However, they are not a required event.

Those unable to attend “Bear Days” will be required to wait until after the first day of school to take care of these obligations. Payments can be made online for class fees, yearbooks, ASB cards, and participation fees – please bring your receipt in to verify payment.

It has not been determined at this time whether or not a makeup will be offered for the orientation portion, but when the schedule is finalized in August this will be determined.
