King County Earth Hero Molly Bricker

molly bricker earth hero

Molly Bricker was awarded a King County Earth Hero award at a ceremony last Thursday.  Molly has worked at training some Tahoma students to be lunchroom waste helpers.  Chris Olson, pictured with her, along with Isaiah Shorter, were trained by Molly to be lunchroom waste docents.

Molly Bricker, as a green team member and teacher assistant in the special education classroom during lunch period, was the obvious person to take the lead on this project.  She has done an exemplary job. Molly has planned lessons to teach her students; she has carried out training sessions.  Molly has created a schedule for lunchroom coverage and is currently working with the leadership classes to coordinate their schedule with the special education “docent” schedules.  Molly is so proud of how her “students” are doing.  She is so proud of how much they are learning and how much they are growing socially in their new role.

If you see Molly at the school please be sure to congratulate her on her recent award!
