WTP State Champs

On Saturday, January 9th Tahoma High School’s We the People team earned the honor of representing our state and the Tahoma School District at We the People Nationals in Washington, D.C. the end of April.  They have been at this since June 2015 – their work ethic has been inspiring and their performance, articulately applying constitutional principles, was exceptional. They will be representing our state and the Tahoma School District at We the People Nationals in Washington, D.C. the end of April.

I am very proud of these young people. I hope that they take this experience as a building block for a very successful life. It breaks my heart to hear young adults talking and expressing their ignorance about our country. Some of the things that I was taught in the ninth grade are a completely unknown to some of our collage graduates.
