Computer Science Education Week (Dec 8-14, 2014)
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science.
PARTICIPATE IN THE 2014 HOUR OF CODE: yes, you!
Option 1: In just 10 minutes, create your own Flappy Bird game!
Option 2: Spend 1 hour with Anna and Elsa learning to program!
Did you know that AP Computer Science is taught in only 5% of U.S. high schools and that in 36 states CS classes don’t count toward math or science high school graduation requirements. BUT AT TAHOMA, we teach AP Computer Science AND it counts as a math credit (as well as CTE, making it a 2-for-1 credit!)
