From FBLA Advisor: I would say FBLA is not similar to speech and debate, although you could use your S & D skills in FBLA competitive events such as Public Speaking and Impromptu Speaking. FBLA performs several community service activities such as Adopt-a-Street, Halloween Carnival, helping Vine Maple Place, and raising money for Make-a-Wish. There are also 3 conferences during the year, both to gain leadership skills and to compete. If you would like more information, visit fbla.org (national website) or wafbla.org (state website).

From the DECA advisor: “DECA is an opportunity to show off those marketing skills that you have. There are meetings every Friday that will help you understand more about what we do and how you can be a part of this organization.
In the Marketing, Advanced Marketing, and Retail Operation classes, you will learn the business skills that you will use in DECA and in your future.”
