Last weekend, February 28- March 1st, Tahoma held their annual Leadership Retreat for 2014. Friday, we received the pleasure to listen to the speaker ‘Superman’, who talked about including everyone, and not excluding anyone. One of the highlights, was Friday night when the hypnotist came. It was an amazing show where people volunteered and people in the audience all had the opportunity to get hypnotized. Then bright and early Saturday morning, we started our second day of Leadership Retreat. The councils performed their hilarious skits, and we listened to the speaker, ‘Bob’. Who talked about how you shouldn’t let anything hold you back and that a handicap is only something that you consider you have. Most of the day was filled with the hug class, ropes coarse, skits, and council time. At the end of this weekend, we concluded with a tearful closing ceremony. The seniors said their last good-byes to leadership retreat, and shared what leadership retreat has done for them. I encourage everyone to attend Leadership Retreat, it is truly a life changing opportunity.
