Congratulations Band and Color Guard

Congratulations to the our Tahoma Band Members!  This was an amazing weekend for many of our students.  This weekend at the regional solo and ensemble competition the following students placed!!! The event included all of the high schools from Kent, Auburn, Enumclaw, White River and Tahoma.  The state competition takes place at Central Washington University on Friday and Saturday, April 25 & 26.

  •                 Emily Lewis won 1st place for flute
  •                 Rachel Culp earned 3rd place for flute
  •                 Sarah Faulk won 1st place for Oboe
  •                 Dylan Cummins earned 2nd place for Bassoon (TJH)
  •                 Emily Loveless earned 2nd place for Trombone
  •                 Brett Babbel earned 2nd place in Snare
  •                 Brett Babbel earned 3rd place in mallet percussion
  •                 Justin Farish earned 2nd place in mallet percussion
  •                 Graeme Pennington won 1st place in mallet percussion
  •                 Graeme Pennington won 1st place in multiple percussion
  •                 Our very own Tahoma Percussion Ensemble won 1st place in the large percussion category. The members include: Brett Babbel, Caleb Brown, Justin Farish, Kyle Martin, Kylie Wilder, Graeme Pennington, Tino Velasquez, Matthew Gower, & Nate Kohls

Congratulations to our Tahoma Winter Color Guard!  They WON 1st place in Northwest Regionals (Ingraham Winterguard Showcase) this weekend!  This only our second winter guard season!  Our participating students are Bordeaux Milette (Co-Captain); Caroline Farquaharson (Co-Captain); Veronique Castillo; Ricki Wills; Vivi Delatorre; Amanda Palmer and Sabin Hohn. Our color guard coach is Thomas Conway. Their next competition is on Saturday, February 22!
