Computer Science Education Week Dec 9-15

December 3, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

Did you know that AP Computer Science is taught in only 5% of U.S. high schools and that in 36 states CS classes don’t count toward math or science high school graduation requirements. BUT AT TAHOMA, we teach AP Computer Science AND it counts as a math credit (as well as CTE, making it a 2-for-1 credit!)

As part of CS Education week, Tahoma is participating in The hour of code. Our goal is to get YOU (students, parents, friends) to think, create, and have a blast — all while learning some computer programming.  Anyone can do it! Yes, even you!

The Hour of Code is coming: Code.org is organizing the Hour of Code, a massive campaign to recruit 10 million students to try one hour of computer science during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 9-15, 2013).
