Bear Days

Tahoma High School will be hosting “Bear Days” in preparation for the new school year.  “Bear Days” are designed to give students the opportunity to purchase parking passes, ASB cards ($35), yearbooks ($60), pictures and make sure their schedules are correct.

  • August 22   9:00 AM-3:00PM   Campus will be open to Juniors/Seniors Only
  • August 23   9:00 AM-3:00PM   Campus will be open to Sophomores Only

Bear Days is not mandatory however, those unable to attend will be required to wait until after the first day of school to take care of these obligations.

In an effort to reduce congestion and wait times, THS is no longer organizing Bear Days in a maze fashion.  Rather, it is our hope that students will come to the stations they need.  All students MUST have their picture taken for Tahoma’s ASB cardregardless if your student is purchasing ASB privileges.

ALL FINES MUST BE CLEARED BEFORE PURCHASING A PARKING PASS.  In order to purchase parking privileges, students MUST show a current Tahoma ASB identification card.  ID cards will be issued in the library.  Parking passes are purchased separately for $40.00.  Checks should be made payable to “THS.” Sophomores with not be permitted to purchase parking passes until the end of September.

Yearbooks ($60.00) and ASB cards ($35.00) may be combined in one check made payable to “THS.”

All students are required to have their picture taken whether pictures are purchased or not.  Checks should be made payable to “Robert Riner Studios.”  Only pictures taken by Robert Riner Studios will be published in the yearbook.

Sophomore Orientation is Aug. 23 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. This orientation is for students only.  Sophomores should report to the gym promptly at 9:00 AM. Parents are welcome to return at 11:00 AM to assist their students with “Bear Days” activities.

The Counseling staff will be on site to assist students who do not have a complete schedule.  All requests for schedule changes must be handled at this time andchange requests will not be considered if the student received his/her first or alternate choices.

It’s the Associated Student Body–it is the school’s student governing body.
