Congratulations to Gretchen Wulfing, selected as Civic Educator of the Year by the Washington State Legislature.   She has been invited  to the capitol to be recognized by the Legislature as the outstanding civic educator for 2011.

Each year the Washington State Legislature sets aside a day to celebrate civic education.  They honor civic educators and highlight a wide variety of civic education organizations.  The 2011 Civic Education Day is February 23, and takes place at the capitol in Olympia.

I have seen Mrs. Wulfing two years in a row transform my children into Civic Minded n Enthusiasts. She is a tremendous asset to the Tahoma School District. Her poise and professionalism in Washington DC are remarkable. What she accomplishes in these few short months with her students is astonishing. Thank you Gretchen for your steadfast dedication, and thank you to your supportive family for the many hours you give up Gretchen.
